Grown up in southern Germany I long thought I was "made" for the Black Forest, the Alps and the Mediterranean countries, therefore I did not venture into the far north until late. Eventually, I returned more and more often. Summers are not so oppressive and winters are milder.
It's a wonderful place!
What I particularly like about this place?
The sea and the sky with its infinite range of colors from metallic grey to turquoise blue.
The smell of the sea, the breeze and the wind that brings the dark clouds and makes them disappear as quickly as they had arrived to give way to the sun and a peaceful sea.
The sound of the waves mixing with the sound of the birds in the garden.
The sweet smell of thatch and the coolness of the house in summer, built of wood and turf.
The possibility to choose, as the summer day goes by, between the cool and shady areas of the large garden and the warm and sunny ones.
The cosy warmth of the tiled stove during the cold season.
This journey takes you back to the time of the house built in 1915 and largely preserved
in its original state.
